Sam Hoffman

“As far as Sam is concerned, Trumbull Valley and just about everyone in it can suck her dick”

Sam Hoffman is a playable survivor in State of Decay and a hero in the Breakdown DLC.

Biography[]

Before the events of the game, Sam used to volunteer at Pastor William's soup kitchen and did charity work with him for years. In the mission "Fear Itself", Sam is looking for Andy Pimms (an old homeless man who used to come to the soup kitchen). She plays it off cool, but is genuinely concerned on the well-being of the man.

She is at the Church of the Ascension when Marcus Campbell, Ed Jones, and Maya Torres arrive.

Skills[]

Traits[]

State of Decay: Breakdown[]

Sam is called "The Convict" in Breakdown.

Notes[]

  • Sam’s personality is a blessing and a curse. When her attitude shifts to Insensitive, there is a danger of her worsening the attitudes of community members who already feel bad. (This can be counteracted by having community members with the Counseling skill.) Physically, though, she’s gifted. She improves the Shooting skill faster than normal, making her a great choice for a gun-related Weapon Specialization. On the other hand, the Acrobatics skill, much like Bruiser, is an uncommon skill that provides a whole slew of unique combat abilities. This may mean you want to focus on melee combat with her.[1]
  • Sam's skills and traits in the article "A Matter of Character", has been changed in the release of the game.
